Memorial Day

On this, Memorial Day weekend, we recognize that soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines are in harms way fighting to protect our freedoms and the American way of life.

This is one of the weekends that Americans from all political ideals can come together and honor those that protect and preserve our freedoms.

As we lay our differences aside and remember those that have died an those that are away from their families and putting their lives on the line, let us not forget that freedom is not free and this is the land of the free because of the brave.

The Obama Foreign Policy Failures

Obama has made a mockery of himself on the world stage. He fails to understand the world as it is and wants to make it the world he wants.

His Israel-Palestine policy has been rebuffed by Benjamin Netanyahu and by even the most liberal Jewish group in the US.

Obama wanted to take Israel back to the 1967 borders. The problem is that when those were the borders, Israel was attacked with the sole purpose of annihilating them. Israel did not attack the Palestinians, the Egyptians, the Syrians or the Turks. These countries attacked and with the support of Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Israel defeated them all decisively.

When a country is attacked and they win the war, they usually gain territory and this is exactly what happened to the Arab nations. They lost.

A President of any real intelligence would never have suggested this lunacy.

Disarm the Palestinians and you have no more war. Disarm the Israelis and you have no more Israel.

This is what Obama wants to bring to America. His socialist ideals are tearing this country apart and sending her into a fast downward spiral to bankruptcy. Once we are bankrupt, the government will convince you we need more social programs - hence socialism - that will cure all the ills of the nation. History is set to repeat itself. This happened once before.

It was in 1929 when the Great Depression started. Uncontrolled use of credit and inability to pay it back sent this country into the depression. With foreclosures and unemployment on the rise, we are doomed to repeat history and inject even more socialism into a democracy.

the intention here, was to witness, experience and record their devotion to political
activism.

Repatriations of British soldiers have taken place through the small Wiltshire town of Wootton Bassett since 2007. In those days the coffins passed unnoticed on their way from RAF Lyneham to the special armed forces department of pathology at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. The high street through Wootton Bassett is part of the only route from the airbase to the M4 motorway.

As time moved on, members of the Royal British Legion found out when the soldiers were being repatriated and began to salute each one. Now every repatriation is attended by friends, relatives and family members and hundreds of others who turn up to pay their respects. It is not an organised event, it just happens.

Wootton Bassett is now the first town in 100 years to have been granted a Royal patronage by Queen Elizabeth in recognition of its efforts to honour the UK’s war dead.

In a matter of months these repatriations through Wootton Bassett will come to an end as RAF Lyneham closes.

In spite of Obama's best efforts, our nation has overcome the administrations tendency to discard leadership and our nation has once again led by killing Osama bin Laden. In spite of his lack of leadership, our military has never wavered in it's mission to protect this nation and make sure another 9/11 does not occur. Our military has shaken the chains and bonds forced upon it by an administration content with standing idly by and prematurely withdrawing from it's obligations to secure America by securing Afghanistan.

Our soldiers, held largely in contempt by this administration, deserves all the credit. No politician, President or Congressman, deserves the credit as much as our armed uniformed service members.

May God Bless America on this great and wonderful day. May God Bless our troops and keep the safe as they keep us safe and freedom shall never die, shall never surrender and shall never disappear from the face of this earth.
